Maintenance Technician/Mechanic for VA SYD's production department!

Are you a mechanic or technician who enjoys practical work and maintenance with varied tasks and a lot of responsibility? We are looking for someone who has worked with mechanical maintenance, preferably within water and wastewater, process, or manufacturing industries.

You will be based at one of our facilities in Malmö and become part of a team of ten maintenance technicians who operate from different facilities but perform maintenance at all VA SYD's wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and drinking water facilities. The work is guided by priorities from our operations organization and maintenance system. There are good opportunities for development in this position through training and varied tasks.

Responsibilities

As a maintenance technician at VA SYD, you have an important role and work with:

• Preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance work as well as renovation and repair work
• Renovation of pumps and valves
• Service of rotating equipment
• Installation and dismantling of various equipment
• Manufacturing of parts
• On-call work may be included in the role.

Qualifications

For the position of maintenance technician/mechanic, we want you to have:

• At least a high school education
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and work in a workshop environment
• Knowledge in sheet metal and metal processing is an advantage
• Welding skills and experience working with pumps and other mechanical equipment are also advantageous
• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
